FSSAI Registration

FSSAI stands for Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, an organization that monitors and governs the business of food in India. It checks the quality and standard of any food item produced before it is rolled out in the market. It ensures that the food item is completely safe for people. FSSAI is an autonomous body that is established under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Food Business Operators in India are required to register themselves under this law. Every business operating in the food industry in India is required to get FSSAI registration, which includes the manufacturers, suppliers, distributor or any other kind involved in the food business. There are three major types of food license and registration including the basic registration, state-level license and the central level license
